Ministry of Health has appointed Bettina Lundgren as Director of Danish National Genome Center

The coming director Bettina Lundgren has a strong leadership profile and in-depth knowledge of the Danish healthcare system.

Bettina Lundgren will start on the 1st of September 2019

Bettina Lundgren is a Clinical Microbiology specialist and Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) from the University of Copenhagen. Since 2010 she has been the Center Director at the Diagnostic Center Copenhagen University hospital (Rigshospital). Previously, she was Head of Department at Hvidovre Hospital, and at Statens Serum Institut (SSI). Bettina Lundgren has more than 19 years of management experience in the Danish health care system. She will manage Danish National Genome Center together with director Peter Løngreen.
