The Danish National Genome Database stores citizens’ genetic information with the highest level of security.
Genetic data, gathered through research or treatment in the Danish healthcare system after July 1st 2019, must be reported to the Danish National Genome Center and stored in the National Genome Database.
In the future, researchers working within the field of personalised medicin will be able to apply for read access to data in the National Genome Database
Since data in the National Genome Database cannot leave the DNGC Research Infrastructure, read access to data in the National Genome Database requires researchers to have access to an DNGC Cloud.
It is not yet possible to gain read access to the Danish National Genome Database. We will publish an update on this webpage when we open up for researchers to apply for access.
